Upon arriving home, we jumped into holiday celebrations with both families. After Christmas, we finalized the details on the wedding. Thankfully, the Lord provided a very relaxed bride, and thus family, for Saturday. The wedding was beautiful, worshipful, and sweet. The reception was loads of fun - a night of food, fellowship, and dancing.
Monday morning we sat down with James, Amy and Amy's mom to plan their wedding for June. By the next day we finalized the locations and some of the bigger items so James and Amy went back to university with those things accomplished.
In addition, we are in the process of closing down Hatfield Builders after 22 years of providing commercial building services in the Upstate. Not something we wanted to do during this short period home but the time is right.
Life is never easy or "relaxing" but God always provides strength for today and hope for tomorrow. In the midst of so many changes, God never changes. His love for us never fails. His love for us is such that He sent Jesus as our Savior. Now that's something worth living for!
While we wait for the professional wedding photos, below are a few shots taken by friends.
