October 17, Wednesday

Long day yesterday. Taught at the Bible school last night. I will need to shorten my remaining teaching time to six hours or so. I'll explain later, but I need to remain flexible. On my way to Vlad now for all day.

Thank you, Lord, for your patience with me in all circumstances!

Mark, just found and read your blog to your mom and dad. Lee and I looked up your location. He wanted me to tell you he is praying for you.

  2. Hi Mark,

As you well know by now, flexibility is certainly a key element in missions. No one who is not in your shoes could appreciate what you face and feel as you are so far from home dealing with all kinds of spiritual issues. We are so thankful for you, Mark. Keep up the good work. As Paul said, "You shall reap if you do not faint." The enemy wants you weak and discouraged. Jesus wants you full of Him, His love and strength, His vision and confidence. You are on a wonderful mission. And your Lord is with you. Another key is not expecting to accomplish more than God's providence will allow. Missionaries are often frustrated with all they would like to do but cannot do. That contentment thing just keeps coming up. I am confident that you have done, and what you shall do on this mission, is really great. We are praying for you continually that wisdom, love and joy will just keep rising by the Holy Spirit in your soul. Oh, and humility too. This from one who can be foolish, self-centered, negative, and proud...all at the same time.

    Sure love you, brother,

    Bob Selph
